70's theatrical faux documentaries on the supernatural

In the 70's I saw these documentary type films on Bigfoot and Noah's ark in the theatre. Bizarre, does anyone else remember these things?

I vaguely remember those- I think I saw one on earthquakes- or was that the movie Earth Quake? I don't know but I remember shaking in my seat. I was in about kindergarten.

Remember them? I saw both of them. In the theater. The Noah's Ark one was really cool and creepy. I remember the movie puported that Noah's Ark was still on Mount Ararat, wherever that is. And some goat herder found it. I think they had an expedition to find the Ark. But goat herders had already chopped it up for fire wood or something. Man, I've got to look for that on DVD.

These movies came out at the height of the America's fascination with the unexplained. "In Search Of . . . " was big. I watched that show every Sunday afternoon. And the Leonard Nimoy narration creeped me out mightily. They went in search of everything until it got really lame and not even Leonard could save it. So he had to do cover albums and sing "Sunny."

the bigfoot one was so scary at the time. I would love to see that now- of course I would rip it and make a copy for myself

The Noah's ark one was so factual seeming they had pictures and everything. I couldn't understand why isn't wasn't a bigger news story.
